energy-drainage. He can fly, blast from his hands and eyes, and
mind-shock his foes. Born hundreds of years ago, du Paris was a friend
of Eobar Barrington, the original Black Knight. On one of the Crusades, Bennet gave into his lust for power and was entrapped in one of Apocalypse's strongholds in the Alps. Over
the course of time, his latent mutant powers were awakened and enhanced
until he was liberated by Magneto and used
to bring new recruits to Avalon. After his master's mind was wiped by Xavier, Exodus took control of the Acolytes, still believing that he could hear the voice of the mindless Magnus. He then came into conflict with the High Evolutionary, who occupied Wundagore Mountain, where Magnus' children were born, and usurped control of the citadel there until he was ousted by Heroes for Hire, Quicksilver, and the Knights of Wundagore. At the conclusion of that battle, Exodus was buried once again inside a mountain. Exodus has claimed to have the power to resurrect dead Acolytes, a claim which appears to be true, given that several dead Acolytes have returned from the dead.*
